Sri Swain has earned accolades for his choreography, and is considered to be one of the leading choreographers in the next generation of Odissi dance. Renowned for their distinct quality and versatility, Sri Swain he has created a number of groundbreaking dance items to include: Tala Madhurya, Dance Drama Durga, Chandrika Kamodi Pallavi, Haragouryastaka, and Dance Drama Durga, to name a few. Sri Swain's choreography reflects his in-depth knowledge of the Odissi style, both in the nritta, or pure dance aspect and the nritya, or expressional dance aspect. His choreography presents a distinct vision both in the theoretical and practical components of dance. Sri Swain is particularly interested in developing new work for the "Purush Ang" or male form.
